I really need the boss with connector to the rod in good condition. The pedal part itself is not so important.

Re: K2 charging issue
Hmm, so far some curious results: charging goes from 12.5v at tickover to 14.5v at about 4500rpm on full beam. I'm not totally convinced that this is consistent either as I'm sure the meter flashed momentarily up to 14.5v at lower revs on one occasion. So, it looks like the next thing to do is to ex...

Mark,
Thanks very much - that is very clear and I know what to look for and how.
I'll report the findings back
Cheers Simon

K2 charging issue
I'm only getting 13.2v or so - so a gentle charge and that with no lights on.
With lights on, I seem to end up with about 13v but a few miles of lights on lane riding equals no electric start.
I'm a bit unsure where to begin. No charging at all seems easier to diagnose!!

K2 saggy sidestand spring
Hi all,
My sidestand spring is no longer inspiring confidence. Does anyone know of a good source for a replacement - I guess a lot of springs will fit and wondered if there is an easily available equivalent.
Cheers,
Simon

Thanks guys - all good info. During a frustrating session this week, I spent time pondering those weird vacuum gauge readings- front pot increases vacuum as throttle stop opened, rear pot decreases. Bike runs very badly, feels over-rich. So, I swapped the gauge tubes over, and the problem moved. My ...

Idiot lights on a '78 Strada and fork oil.
I'm slowly getting towards a useful and useable Strada - once I have the carbs sorted (see my other post!) and the grabby clutch sorted out. Great info on here, especially the top tip to eliminate swing arm play by rotating the spindle 90 degrees. Saved a few hours there. Now I'm into the simple stu...

Re: Carb balance
Thanks all, that's very helpful. I'd like to try smaller jets - is there a recommendation for a supplier? I've not had to work on Dellorto carbs before, so I'm not sue where to source them.

Carb balance
Had a go at mine yesterday. I have a popping misfire on the front cylinder at tickover and a definite misfire when opening the throttle sharply at 4000rpm. If I gently accelerate I can get through it but it feels like I'm only on one cyl at those revs. Initially the front cyl draws more vacuum at ti...

Friction Services in Keynsham. Been using them for years for Brit and Euro bikes. Excellent and very reasonable prices.
