Forum Downtime

You might have noticed the forum has been offline for a day and frustratingly, this was down to bots trawling for AI content again. The tweaks I did last time have helped, but the software is now a few years out of date and the latest version has beefed up protection to help with the increasing ...

Re: The new MRC website.

Hi Michel

I'll have a look at this for you now. Transferring the Tech Tips is next on my list. Thank you for your kind words. I have to say, I didn't realise how popular the site would be, so now I need to get on with it!

Re: The new MRC website.

Apologies - just having a catch up with the emails tonight. I'm also hoping to have the Tech Tips done soon.

Re: The new MRC website.

A couple of people had an issue which then resolved itself without me having to do anything. I suspect it could have been a firewall glitch as they are constantly re configuring themselves all the time in an effort to provide best protection.

If it's still not working, please let me know. We have ...

Re: Tyres

I have Metzeler ME22 on mine and I'm very happy with them after several thousand miles They handle well, wearing well and seem to suit the bike. That said, I put them on while it was being recommissioned, so I've not ridden it with anything else.

I chose them as a few people recommended them when I ...

Re: The new MRC website.

The menu should be sorted now, but any issues, let me know. It's been tested on a variety of phones, but there's always one that will break it!

A few people have said there are issues with the menu on phones, so just having a look at that.
Thanks

Re: The new MRC website.

Thanks Jen!

It's also redirecting from the main morini-riders-club.com so there's no need to worry about remembering the one above.

I'll be swapping the domain properly at some stage, but I'm used to working on our own servers at work and doing anything we want. I set it up on a subdomain with the ...

Re: X3 Parts book

I am, as we speak, uploading documents to the Members Library on the new site which will be live in time for ATG to arrive.

I've checked and there isn't a parts list for the Kanguro, so I'd be more than happy to upload one if you have a scan you don't mind sharing.

Re: Useful web links

Hi Richard

I'm just about ready to launch the new website, so I'll add this to the links.

The Dutch site went down at the same time as the forum when the bots took over a couple of months back. I got this one back online and I'll be updating the software once the new site is up an running. Once ...

Re: Carb parts

Hi Matt

Is this useful - it should give yoy the Jet sizes at least. Eurocarbs should have all the parts.

Re: I bought myself a Moto Morini 31/2

Hi Keith

Difficult to say really. The frame and bottom half of the running gear is 1980 Spada, but it had Le Mans 2 tank fitted at some stage early 80s . . . . . as they all did.

Hi Keith

I'm in Cambridge with a 250 2C and I still have Guzzi, so your profile name caught my eye and thought I should say hello!

Re: Part throttle jetting

Be great to meet up sometime given we're not so far apart. I'll sell the transducers if someone needs them, rather than wanting them for stock. They were only on the bike for 10 miles before I realised that while they corrected the original timing problem, the pickup was dodgy as well. knowing what ...
