Re: Hone strong are these engines
Called in at the Sill last week but I won’t be rushing back. Haven’t tried the Riverside. Not sure how the Forum works but f I put up my mobile number can we then arrange a meeting or is that against the rules? Mind I have turned into a bit of a fair weather biker so don’t fancy being up on the Roma...

Re: Hone strong are these engines
Yes I am in Newcastle so need to do a few miles before I’m onto interesting roads. See from this months magazine that we have a new member in Washington. Seems to be quite a while since Hartside burnt down so we are pushed into finding alternatives. The kitchen down the road towards Hexham is pretty...

Re: Hone strong are these engines
Many thanks for all the responses. It would seem that I’m going to have to just ride it and not worry too much about the revs. Still loving the little 250, especially the low weight. It’s certainly the lightest bike that I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to get out on some of the great roads that we have ro...

Hone strong are these engines
Now’s that the weather is improving in the north of England I am starting to Put a few more miles on the bike and finding it a peach. It starts easily and seems very happy to rev without any vibration . I just wonder how hard I can push it without causing damage. I am used to British bikes that you ...

Re: 250 2C tyres
Well I’ve done it. Fitted a pair of Metzlers which I hope are going to be grand. However the weather up here has been so bad recently that I haven’t had chance to give them a good trial. Regret that I could be turning into a fair weather biker!

Side stand
Hello.
I’m a relatively new owner of a 250 twin and I must say it’s a delightful bike. One thing that mine is lacking is a side stand. Does anyone have any idea where I could get one or even adapt one?
Many thanks
John

Re: 250 2C tyres
Thanks for the thoughts. The Metzeler ME20 sounds pretty good but hard to understand reviews from superb to rubbish. Think I’ll wait till the weather gets better and give the Avon’s a good run out. The rear tyre is a 3.00. X 18. Has anyone any experience of using a slightly wider one? I presume that...

250 2C tyres
Hi. I have just bought a 1983 250 and it’s on rather worn Avon Street Runner tyres that are nine years old. I’ll be looking for tyres that are grippy and not too worried about how well they wear. Any recommendations?
Thanks

Re: Cylinder head exhaust threads
Many thanks for your responses. The possible cost has made me try harder to sort out the crossed threads and with the help of a pal I have managed to get the nut fully home.
Not sure if it will work again but for now the problem is resolved
Thanks again

Cylinder head exhaust threads
Hello everyone. I’m a new member from the NE of England and have just bought my first Morini 3 1/2 It’s an amazing bike and I love it. So light and handles like a dream. My initial problem is that the exhaust threads on the front head have been butchered. Is there anyone who can repair them? Can the...
