Re: Clutch centre hub needed
Interesting that the parts catalogue shows 2 types of hubs for early and late models. How could you tell which yours was?

Re: Tyre Sizes
Thanks for that George. That clears up my confusion on the 4.10 nomenclature. I was trying to understand how all the accepted tyres were so much smaller.

Re: Tyre Sizes
Thanks. That all tallies with my initial thoughts. I'll probably stick with these whilst running in then go to more sensible sizes (110/90 rear seems the obvious choice) after. As I've a Guzzi Le Mans I'm familiar with with near impossible tyre fitting and have had good experiences of BT45s. I see t...

Tyre Sizes
So, first ride out on my new (to me) 350 Sport (1977, alloy wheels) and apart from burning a hole in my jeans for the left pipe (rearsets, no heatshield) all went well. Only after did I look at the tyre sizes. Now I know that originally it will have been 3.25 & 4.10 x 18 and that these don't tra...

Is this still for sale. I have a mate who has fallen in love with my bike! I need to fend him off with some others!

Re: The right helmet for a Strada
The right look for a 70s Morini would be a Griffin Clubman or Kangol Falcon (both of which I had) with a visor held on by press studs. No thanks, I'll stick to my nicely fitting Arai. I think any decent modern full face would look fine but if you want to look in keeping go for a classic plain colour...

Re:
Red light: Prior to the electric start models, there was no oil pressure switch on Morini's - I recall it was introduced with the 500 in 1978 (4 warning lights), and then on the 350's later. On non electric start models this light simply served notice that you had turned the ignition on (as if the ...

Re: Flywheel Holder
It hasn't been on the road since an NLM rebuild in 2010 (hence the need for a new belt despite no miles on this one) so I'm sure I will have several problems thank you.MickeyMoto wrote:If your clutch slips trying to undo the flywheel nut you have another problem to resolve!

Flywheel Holder
I don't suppose anyone in the Midlands has one I could borrow for about 10 minutes! 1977 350 Sport - no electric start. I've tried locking the bike in gear (clutch not holding enough) and a strap wrench on the flywheel but to no joy. Need to do a cambelt change so I can send my friend his puller back!
