I had new progressive springs and thicker oil at the front and new longer shocks at the back the whole package is very good.

I've not tried the roads you mention, but a recent track outing on mine rideing as hard as I konw how didn't cause me to regret removing the damper

The bike doesn't need the damper it's only for show. I took mine off and have it sitting in a box in the garage. NLM in the UK may be able to help you with a replacment or even a service kit.

I was in NLM yesterday and they have blanks available.

I've just had the ignition system upgraded by Alex at NLM, its a set up he has developed himself, starts on the button or the kick without any problems. Well woth talking to them about the bits you need if you want reliable starting.
