Re: More Carburettor Woes! Help1
When it bogs can you notice any change with a choke on? I don’t like the needle position difference. Is that a bodge to work around the air filter? Can you double check the numbers on jets, atomisers, needles, slides, float action and float height, colour of floats ( white or black) and report findi...

Re: Oil
At least we do not suffer from dust clogging up the air filter.
Greenfly more like it.

One way bearing again
This pertains to the one way bearing in Kokusan type engines, in my case in a Coguaro. I just had the garter spring which retains the cam rollers fail again, luckily at home. Last time was in Ashbourne since when I have done around 1500 miles. I have some spare bearings so an easy fix. Is this an oc...

Re: Strada carbs
With the floatbowl removed and a suitable container under the carb, manually lifting the float with a fuel tap on then slowly lowering should determine if the needle is sealing and give some indication of float height. It can be that the float is hanging up on the float bowl. There may be a witness ...

Gear shaft oil seal
Has anyone actually replaced a weeping gear shaft seal in situ?
In an ideal world a fine pointy hook or fine self tapper /wood screw would go in and the seal would pull out.
Marshall’s luck dictates I damage the seal but cannot extract it.

Re: Stock Air Box questions
Mine has a sort of groove or channel worn or made to accommodate the cable routing. I have had no issue with this in 17 years, except for a nipple coming off at the twistgrip once when naturally I was at the bottom of a steep hill.

Re: Strada MK5 Front Spindle washer
This is interesting. I thought why not remove my twin disc front cast wheel and check. It has not been off for a good while. What do I find? No washer either. Spindle goes through rh fork into speedo drive then through shouldered spacer on other side of wheel before exiting the lh fork. There is a g...

I spoke with NGK at the NEC show last Nov about fake plugs. The rep said the company actively tried to suppress ( oops!)
fake plugs but it is a never ending mission.

Re: 350 not charging the battery
Have you a copy of the Blue book Morini manual? According to the section on testing for correct charge function, you should be getting around 8amp with the meter connected in series to the red lead which goes from the generator to the battery at 6000rpm. Disconnect the three leads, 2 yellow and one ...

Re: new to morini
I have a slightly later 350, a K1 and that has the oil light, indicator light ( mine have worked faultlessly), lights on and high beam lights. The oil light comes on very rarely when running indicating that the sender has some muck in or needs replacing. I got a few in case from ebay and of course i...

Re: Excalibur jetting
I marked the twistgrip with a series of different colour paint lines to help me, 1/8 ,1/4,1/2 . Above about half I was not concerned about as it was up to half that affecting my steady throttle response. Both on the 350 and the 507 I have experimented with the idle jets sizes from 50 through to 43. ...
