Re: Excalibur jetting
Go back to the front page of this website and about halfway down is a link to the Morini club.nl pages. In Technical/carburettors is a table of settings. This might be of help. My experience with the air box housing is the opposite of the oft suggested benefit of removing the flowerpot etc. Also with...

Re: Rear Master Cylinder
From some recent correspondence I had it may be that Brembo PS16 master cylinder can be used however the actuating arm needs modifying or a new arm made to fit. I rebuilt mine in 2008 and I think it will not be long before I need to do something again. This link may help https://www.morini-riders-cl...

Re: Electric starter woe
That is a good result and far better than having to push a Trident with a thrown rod from the Stratton bypass to Broome Manor Lane.
I have had the starter relay weld on once. A deft kick stopped that.

You can get an available spec 260 then drill out 0.8 mm holes, then ream with a 2.60 reamer to make a U pattern.

Re: Reinstating the electric starter part 2
Try checking the “bits for sale” section at the moment, might be a case in amongst the parts ex Barcelona? It was worth me looking at my gear linkage yesterday. The lever action was stiff. This turned out to be as a result of me trying to take up wear in the pivot bush/ frame using some thin shim me...

Re: Reinstating the electric starter part 2
I have had the exact same K lever just touch the case and cause a selection issue. This simply required adjustment of the linkage. I think a friend had similar last year. If the linkage rod is not a standard length ( I wished I had made a note of that when I made one from stainless steel) or cannot ...

Re: Spares needed: clutch plates, cam belt
If in UK you can get clutch plates and cambelts from MdinaItalia, (if they have any clutch plates in stock). However I get my belts from RS on line- these are not graded by cam pulley size of course. What pulley have you got, A,B or C? Contitech 124 L075. RS stock number is 474-9793. The C type can ...

What’s all this “ banned from the garage” business?
Have you not learned to march into the house with muddy boots , switch the heating on because you are cold, change the radio to one you prefer, rip through the fridge leaving a mess in your wake and at a pinch pee on the toilet seat.
Works for me.

Re: Fuel tap overhaul
And that is exactly the system on Airhead BMW and it works perfectly well. On my Morinis one has the electro tap and the other has a vacuum tap. Both run the risk of either leaking fuel into the cylinder/ oil or packing up. How many times have I forgotten to disconnect the wiring prior to removing t...

I have not deviated from the instruction in the Blue Book on the three occasions where I have had the barrels off since 2007. This on my K1.
Others may have a different opinion.
I reused my head gaskets last time around though.
