Re: Do I have an ignition problem

Hi Fastmongrel
I would suspect that there is a rogue DC supply superimposed on the green wire when the ignition is switched on, try putting a multimeter in series with the green wire and checking for a DC current, ignition on but without the engine running. Ian C

Re: 125 WITH NO SPARK

I used Google Lens on a smart phone to translate the article https://www.motomoriniclub.nl/zuendung.pdf to English and I can see that this gives a good description of the importance of the 1.38V trigger point voltage and how it occurs earlier as engine rpm increases. You can use Google Lens to give ...

Re: 1976 restoration project on ebay

DVLA list the registration as a 1976 Moto Guzzi, 344cc and tax due 1/11/1981 so its been off the road for a long time.

Re: Kanguro Fuel Tank Wanted

Hi Kamel, many thanks for letting me know about your experience with Flowliner. I might contact Wildes next week to see if they have any experience of over-coating the Slosh lining that is currently inside the tank.

Re: Kanguro Fuel Tank Wanted

Hi Kamel, you asked about the sealant I used in my fibreglass tank, it is called Slosh and claims to be suitable for fibreglass tanks. I am assuming that temperature cycling or machine vibration means that cracks have developed in the sealant so it no longer works. Many thanks to all who have respon...

Re: Kanguro Fuel Tank Wanted

Hi Julian, Many thanks for your interest in my fuel tank problem, I have attached a few more photographs. Also thanks due to Pete who is also looking out for a fuel tank to suit. The problem with the rubber seal does not worry me unduly, a sheet of Viton can be used to cut out a suitable seal and Vi...

Re: Kanguro Fuel Tank Wanted

Hi Pete and Hendre The tank I currently have is a fairly chunky thing, see photo, I will try to take a few more photos tomorrow. I am not that concerned that a replacement tank is identical in shape and size to the one I already have, as long as it is not glass fibre type. Any help you can give is m...

Kanguro Fuel Tank Wanted

My X1 Kanguro fuel tank is made from glass fibre and the ethanol in modern fuel is affecting it. I applied an internal sealer last year and this worked for a while but I now find that problems are repeating again in the form of blocked carb jets, sticky throttle slides and stiff throttle action if t...

Re: Saving the Kanguro from decay

My Kanguro dashboard lights had 12v 1.2W capless bulbs, type 286. They are available in the UK from motor factors (eg Euro Car Parts) for about £0.50 each, not sure where you would get them in Croatia though. Hope this helps, Ian

PS..I meant to say in my post that the Kanguro switch works OK, it just needs a new clamp lower part.
Thanks, Ian

Re: CEV 206 Handlebar Switch for Kanguro Wanted

Dear All. I have seen how this forum is supported by such a great bunch of people and I thank you all for your offers of assistance and advice. I am happy to report that Pete (Acemorini) who lives fairly close to me has offered a handlebar switch that will suit my 1974 Strada so I have now turned my...

Re: CEV 206 Handlebar Switch for Kanguro Wanted

Hi Ming, many thanks for offering your handlebar switch, such a shame you do not have the lower clamp part that fits the handlebar. The clamp part seems to be missing from the offering by an Italian supplier too, perhaps they get broken easily? Unfortunately without the clamp part I doubt this switc...
