Re: Fuel tap overhaul
On my MM500 the electric fuel tap also broke down and I had to resort to using the reserve fueltap while keeping an eye on the daytrip counter. Not the best way to manage your fuelreserve. Replaced the electric tap with a normal one but due to the fitted tophalf using it was difficult and removing t...

Re: left hand gearchange conversions
the rear brake doesn't do much in an emergency situation, better concentrate on using the front to the max .
recently at the 30K service-interval of my V85TT I was asked if I had ever used the rear brake, "no, only downhill on the hardknott pass"

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
I forgot to update this. The SWF ignition supplied by Anne (username lemans ) has been fitted and is running fine. Easy to fit but setting the timing needs 2 pairs of hands and eyes. The SWF system bypasses the crappy coil on the stator it takes power from the electric fuel tap power wire. Everythi...

SWF, though I see it says Morini 500. https://swf-ignitionsystems.nl/product/morini/ I have the business end of one somewhere but haven't got round to fitting it (a case of "if it works don't fix it"). Really must see if I can find it. Some others too I think though Powerdynamo have disco...

Re: new toy
that starts remarkably easy! well, did some work on the carburation with Starttrick from Terborg. When used regularly she's an easy starter. if left over for two weeks you'll need two ~three kicks. Choke should be off fairly quickly but then you have to be carefull at the first light. Pulling away ...
Re: new toy
