Yes it's down the different Primary gearing

If your pivot points are worn or the frame bent then the rear tyre will nearly be touching the ground (depending on the rubber profile) and you will have more to lift/further to heave

Or just fit a Venhill clutch cable and see if the problem goes away

As fitted to Laverda twins/triples and many 1970s/80s Guzzis - have you tried Gutsibits for a used one?

Use a blowtorch on that bottom pulley to get it REALLY smoking hot, then as thick a washer as you can get on there behind the circlip and a 3 legged puller. The heat finally helped shift the last one I tried after Id dished a thick washer trying to shift it. It may have been loose and the play taken...

That's exciting news! I was talking to a friend about scanning and SD printing, but the problem is finding an undamaged one from a 250 to scan. He was cautious about finding a printable plastic suitable to withstand the use on a bike. An aluminium casting would of course solve this problem! Barry H...
