Re: GP starting problem
It's not a battery problem. When it cranks over its at normal speed. Starts normally 90% of the time. Even from cold. As the ecu does the starting ie you press the button once and it cranks till it fires or if it doesn't start it stops cranking after a predetermined time , I'm guessing some kind if ...

GP starting problem
HI all. Having a starting issue with the GP. Push the start button. Bike turns over for a couple of seconds then stops and the dash turns off as in no display. 5 seconds later and the dash comes back on. Push the button again and the same may happen or it may turn over as normal. It's totally random...

Hot wiring
Hi All, Hope you are all keeping well in these difficult times. I been spending a lot of time fettling my Corsaro and GP. While playing with the Corsaro today I had the battery out and noted that the upper edge of the battery on the centre line had a melted part of the battery case. This is the bott...

Marzocchi USD forks strip - most 1200 etc models
So the forks on my GP are pretty much toast. The internals are not adjustable and the chrome is going and the seals are leaking. So. Has anyone changed the forks for another type. Or. I can strip the forks and rebuild with some adjustable internals. Big question is, can you get GP stanchions and if ...

Re: GP front forks
I have a Corsaro too and did think about that but as you say the damper rods will be too short by quite a bit unfortunately.
I may indulge in a little further stripping of the damper rods and see what's in them!!!

GP front forks
Soooooo, I've had my GP for a while now and left it reasonably standard. One thing that bugs me is the front forks. The rear Ohlins is multi adjustable and I have it set soft. The front forks have no adjustment. I've had the forks off and found the following:- Left leg had too much rebound damping a...

Intermittent indicators
Ok, getting to the point of fixing some irritating bits with the GP. Indicators have always been a bit hit and miss so done some basics ie clean the switch, check the wiring etc however the problem persists. Indicators work on both sides with the ignition on but engine not running. Hazard lights wor...

Granpasso vs Corsaro engine - What's the difference?
Hi All,
Does anyone have a definitive list or intimate understanding of the mechanical differences between the Granpasso and Corsaro engines?
EG, bigger valves, higher lift / duration for cams, higher compression, etc etc?
Just mulling some ideas over as I have a spare Granpasso engine!!!!!

Re: GP wheel bearings
Thanks for that. If they are the right bearings the front wheel swap looks easy, almost a straight fit. I may need to get creative with the rear though. Bit of a miss match on the bearings and a straight bearing change to fit doesn't look possible at a first check. I also need to space out either th...

GP wheel bearings
OK so I've had the GP for about 6 weeks and I'm already hatching a plot re the wheels. Looking at options re more sports size wheels ie super moto type thing. Being lazy I thought I'd ask if anyone knows what the front and rear wheel bearing sizes /codes are and also the sprocket carrier???? Cheers R

Re: eBay GP Dec 2016
Hi all, thanks for the replies. I go to the Bristol Italian day every year so will be good to meet some of you there. Based in Swindon so do the Calne bike show and Cassington too. Re throttle Delhispearman(!), yes it does, just went out and checked. It hasn't done it on the road. My Triumph Speedtr...

Re: eBay GP Dec 2016
Hi All, I bought it! New to Morini ownership and the forum so getting up to speed with the little quirks that all Italian bikes have. Got a fair few other bikes and pretty good with spanners and electrics, not so good with ECUs and plugging PCs in. :? Things I've noted so far. Poor cold running unti...
