Mine is A US import (kinked frame but not a K, drum rear brake) and has the chassis mods and parts for a left foot gear change. I've no idea if this is a factory version of a home brew one.
The gear lever runs through a short tube in the corner of the chassis tube

Re: dating certificate
How long ago was this experience? The Morini Riders Club have successfully done over 150 dating certificates in the last couple of years, indeed the club’s machine registrar has been called upon by the DVLA themselves to help clear up a few cases where we haven’t been previously involved ...

Re: dating certificate
My experience with DVLA was that they wouldn't accept a dating certificate as proof of age - despite the club paying the requisite fee to be the recognised authority on dating Morinis.
They would rather trust the data from "Glass's Check Book" - fortunately the Moto Guzzi club were very helpful ...

Possibly a daft question, can the shoes be mounted the wrong way round?

I have the Yamaha YZF125R that I bought to learn on, which gets used during the winter months as it has fuel injection, engine management and starts on the button.

Re: left hand gearchange conversions
I have a USA import which had the LH gearchange, plus a box of bits. I can take some pics and/or measure up the cross tube locations if you want.

This might explain the aging biker population...
Apparently, the Baby-Boomers all have motorcycles.
Generation X is only buying a few, and the next generation isn't buying any at all.
A recent study was done to find out why?
Here are the reasons why Millennials don't ride motorcycles:
1. Pants won't pull up far enough for them to straddle ...

Re: Some carb balancing questions
Setting the carbs to be balanced at idle and then having one open fractionally before the other is how Haynes manuals recommend twin carb MG's, Triumphs, Minis etc should be set up. To my mind that made balancing carefully for idle seem a bit pointless

Re: Date change
I had a similar issue recently, DVLA wouldn't accept a photo of the chassis sticker with the build date clearly written on it as evidence of when it was made!

It's nice to see that the bikes all have signs of regular use, they aren't just sat in a museum or cosseted in a collection

Re: Dating by frame and engine numbers
Having sent DVLA the Glass's info with no details in it they have decided that they would be able to accept a dating certificate as proof of age....just like the one I had originally sent them that they said wasn't acceptable as proof of age... !!
However they couldn't provide a new 'age related ...
