Re: Grimeca Cast Alloy Wheels
Hi, do you have any straight 500 rears available? Cosmetic condition immaterial as I need to get the front refurbished anyway. There's one on eBay currently, relisted as it didn't sell the first time https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135662825158 PS: The seller also has a 250/125 rear wheel available http...

Re: Eventi 2025
Thank you for the information about the Italian Club's 36th Morini Day (weekend). I've looked on https://www.morinispecial.it/ and can see the same information, how can people register for this please?

Re: The Wallaby hybrid
A quick update from me and my Wallaby/Joey project... I bought a couple of incomplete Honda XR125L's at a local auction house. Their front forks are 31mm diameter - slightly thinner than the 31.75mm (1 1/4") ones fitted to the 250 2C. They have more travel, roughly 6" and a 19" spoked...

Re: Kanguro Chain Idler Wheel
Hi, how did the roller work out? I’ve been trying to fathom out what a noise on my bike was - suspect it’s the original looking chain wheel - seems pretty loose fitting so not sure the spacers are fitted. Thought I would check before I started ordering bits from Italy! Thanks, Simon The new bearing...

Re: Kanguro Exhaust
I have a complete X2 exhaust. The downpipes are somewhat corroded, but functional, the silencers are stainless steel.

S/M/L/XL petrol tanks for Kanguros
I've recently fitted an X2's petrol tank on my Kanguro X. I did this to reduce the risk of running out of petrol on the MCC long distance trials that include riding through the night and day as I ran out on the Lands End Challenge in Easter 2024 because one of the petrol stations on the route map wa...

Re: Exeter trial
May have missed a Kanguroo? No, Julian was in a different class (he's often said that!) so didn't do worst hills. The maniac did ride there and back home afterwards though! Yes, I was riding in Class O which is aimed at newcomers to the full set of off-road sections or those with sensitive vehicles...

Re: Kanguro x0 newbie questions
Tom, they look lairy tyres. I've found the MT43 to be a good all-rounder tyre. For the Exeter I reduced the pressure in the rear from 1.9 bar to the manual's 1.5 bar. This made the bike a bit squirmy above 80 kph (50 mph) on the road. When I ran it with the higher pressure it was well behaved from a...

Re: Exeter trial
We were either well prepared or lucky as all 4 Moto Morinis finished, a 100% success rate, unlike the field in general. In my class (Class 0) there were 8 riders listed, of these only 3 started and one retired leaving me and a Lexmoto 125/150 as the two who finished. I might add that there were more...

Re: Kanguro x0 newbie questions
I can comment on: 3) the flowerpots in the airfilter - I have them in my Kanguro X and think they work well; and 4) the rear tyre - I’m using an MT43 and previously had a slightly larger than standard IRC rear tyre I was given. Neither rubbed and I wouldn’t expect or want them to. My BP7ES plugs are...

Kanguro Chain Idler Wheel
A good friend and MRC member asked me about my experiences with the chain idler I'd bought from Italy earlier this year https://www.morinispecial.it/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=177:accessori-gini-eng&catid=79:gini#google_vignette My experiences might be useful to other r...

Re: 501 main jet
My 350 has a standard airbox and runs well- for the 17 years I have owned it. My 501 had a stripped out airbox and it wasn’t until I acquired all the airbox internals that the stuttering at about 1/2 throttle and cutting out when closing the throttle was almost completely eliminated. Nevertheless I...

I've also signed up in the gentler O Class on my Kanguro X (at least I hope it's gentler).
I enjoyed the R class on the Kanguro for the Lands End Trial in Easter and as the navigator with Jem, another club member, in his Morgan car for the Edinburgh.

Re: One out one in....
On my current New York 501 I fitted a 43T rear sprocket, £19.99 including postage from A W Motorcycle Parts https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392864019429 It suits the way I've been riding the bike - mainly A and B roads including longish rides of up to 150 miles ish. I'll have the previous rear sprocket s...

Re: 250 2C instrument surround
Well I am busy with 3D scanning all special parts of my morini's ( 250 2c 350 500 and corsaro ) so that i can print them and use the print for aluminum casting. as soon as i have printed and scanned the instrument panel for mounting the rev counter and speedo i will post a photo of the aluminum cas...
