I was moving stuff around the garage and came across the frame that I had stuffed in the corner. Is it the earliest sport frame on file? My other early sport is 04742. Just curious.

Yes, cerikote is very fuel resistant. We use it a lot on our engine rebuilds. You can buy the small sample bottle. A little goes a long way.

I get them hot with a torch and they come right off. If they are stubborn, I touch a piece of paraffin to the part. It wicks between the threads but doesn’t evaporate off like penetrating oil.

How much?

Came with an engine

Drove a bit today to pick up this early sport frame, a non matching engine and a box of parts. I have a parts bike with a bent frame so hopefully I can build it into a running bike - one day…

I think the rear drum on Sport and Strada are the same.

I would love to find one in the US.

Easy. MAP gas torch. Heat for a couple minutes, touch some paraffin to the threads (won’t evaporate like oil & wicks up the threads) heat some more. Tighten a millimeter then loosen.

I think that’s what I need for my Strada project.

I wish you were closer. I'd buy the frame but shipping is just too much.
