Re: 250 2c carb body

Someone on the forum advised trying freeze and release for a seized component. I was sceptical but it really works - not once but several times. Maybe worth a shot before you end up at eurocarb's door...

MoreBikes review

There's a review of the XCape as a touring mount in the most recent issue of MoreBikes - usually given away free in bike dealers. It starts off negative and then becomes quite fulsome in its praise. Its tested alongside some strange bedfellows, an MT10, a Hayabusa and a Gold Wing!

Re: left hand gearchange conversions

It looks from the Camel diagram as if the left hand change is integral to the frame. Is there any way of leftifying a 500 sport with some type of kit that bolts on?

left hand gearchange conversions

I've seen mention left hand gearshift changes from time to time and I'd really not have to find out how I'd fair if I had to slam on the anchors in a smidsy situation

does anyone still make them, are they any good/expensive/difficult to fit?

Re: clutch spring nuts seized

bad luck Terry although if it was turning it may have been of limited use returning to my query about clutch plates - these are advertised on fleabay but the 500 sport is pretty much the only one not listed. Just to be on the safe side - can I be certain they will fit? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266...

Re: clutch spring nuts seized

thanks Steve - much appreciated. I'll try Stein dense and if no luck I'll pm you about your plates - I'll only need the friction plates

By the way are Kanguro plates different - they seem to be available in some places?

Re: clutch spring nuts seized

well the good news is that the freeze and release worked like magic - squirted for 5 seconds (oo err missus) then waited for two minutes and bingo. However the clutch plates are another story - delaminating as I removed them.

Hey ho more expense....
