Re: BONUS Kanguro Wiring Diagram - and a question
How nice to see a decently executed wiring diagram. What did you use to draw it? Thanks! I just use Illustrator for all my drawings - both creative and technical. My career started out in design, so it's all I know. I recently used it to design a wiring diagram from scratch (for a custom Ducati-bas...

Re: BONUS Kanguro Wiring Diagram - and a question
Hi Greg, your regulator/rectifier should give AC 12 v from the grey wire. The reg/rec unit should also limit the voltage being supplied to the headlamp as well, as I only recently learned! I had thought it was merely a connection point for the AC supplied direct from the flywheel. What I learned fr...

BONUS Kanguro Wiring Diagram - and a question
Hello, I’ve been enjoying my ’81 Kanguro as a daily rider, but recently it has started blowing headlight bulbs regularly. I find the 6v / 12v system a little confusing so I’ve just re-drawn the wiring diagram from the handbook as an exercise in getting my head around its workings - attached here sin...

Awesome thanks Mike - I'll drop Franco an email. Sounds like he might be a good contact for other Morini parts in the future!
Cheers!

Ahahaha... 'THe penal institution next to your islands' ...yeah, it's a pretty big penal institution ...lots of 'convicts'...!! I assume 'the Italian Meeting' you both mention was in Europe? Unfortunately it's along way from here and I don't get over there very often. Always wanted to do the Imola S...

Kanguro Bits wanted
Hello, Does anyone out there have the following for an '82 Kanguro 350: 1. Tacho - mine's just failed. Consider anything in reasonable condition (cable-driven, 80mm OD) 2. Chain guard (they eventually fall to pieces) 3. Centre Stand. Only have the side stand fitted but a centre stand would be super ...

Hello from NZ! I’ve recently rebuilt an '81 350 Kanguro engine and just fitted into the bike. Everything seems to work beautifully as it should EXCEPT for the gearbox. Whilst it shifts up through the gears nicely, when chopping down, it becomes incredibly vague and often requires several prods to ge...

Re: Kanguro 90º Tacho Drive
Brilliant, thanks Tom! … I'll put an order through to Mdina (although last time I tried ordering a whole lot of Morini parts from them, they were a lot less enthusiastic than NLM used to be - I think they're primarily Ducati people!). Give Mdina another try. Doug who is the new owner of Mdina (sinc...

They are not easy to find  How it should be, how problems begin and how it ends: k-DSCI0261.JPG It´s very important to distance the drive properly with the distance washers. As far as posible into the nut with the sqare hole, but with a little clearence left. The nuts can end like this: k-DSC...

Re: Kanguro 90º Tacho Drive
So to confirm you are after the one for the engine casing, not the instruments. The instrument end is back to front compared to the engine end. I had one from NLM in 2018, I'll see if the invoice is in my records for the part number. Yes - the ENGINE end. You don't need a 90º fitting for the tacho ...

Re: Kanguro 90º Tacho Drive
I bought one from gutsibits in UK for my 500 SEI-V, part number HAG17361 Hopefully you have a more local source of Guzzi spares? Hello and thanks for the tip! I buy quite a bit from Gutsibits (I also have Guzzi's) and even already have one of these to compare. The output end fits perfectly with the...
