Sorry to hear of your troubles. The advice around exhausts is nipping up when hot so do that when you refit the heat shield. I caught mine one screw out last month so hope you find it!
I always look on Italian eBay so maybe there's a switch there if you can't find one in the UK.

PSA - buying online.
A recent transaction on the bay has not gone according to plan and I would hate anybody else to have a similar experience.
I know others have successfully used this seller and many probably will in the future but my post is a reminder - as with every seller - to be 100% sure you keep records of ...

Re: 1986 350 K2 front brake information.
Hey, as things are always changing in the landscape, I'm posting these links to the latest pads I've seen. I bought some myself.
Cheers,

I have always successfully used plain rubber plug-caps with no resistance at all, for what it's worth.

Re: I took my Tachometer apart, can it be saved?!
Thank you kindly.
So I have may two options then - I can either contact our instrument specialist here in Auckland to see if they're interested - or perhaps bring my tacho to the UK in July for you to look at.
Cheers,
Dom

Re: I took my Tachometer apart, can it be saved?!
A question for you tacho dismantlers, please. Mine works fine but the inside of the glass is pretty dirty, is it logical and easy to remove the innards so I can clean it?
I should add that I do know it's not a simple task to remove the bezel but is that the only way to gain entry, as it were?
Cheers ...

Hi, as the owner of two different Italians, I'm often faced with non-OEM parts situations that I like to fully understand.
Are you saying these are Chinese-made copies of Dell'Orto carbs but called something else, or carbs made by Dell'Orto but in China, not Italy?
Cheers, Dom

Re: Rectangular headlamp questions
Thanks for the offer, it is near enough but I think NZ post would probably charge as much as Royal Mail to get it here from there!
I am not riding much at night now so won't be relying on it, in any case. I have a Hella H4 at the minute but felt like a change.

Thanks Tom and Ian, that's all useful. All I have to decide then is all-black or chrome rim.

Rectangular headlamp questions
While recommissioning my K1 Sport I'm considering swapping the after-market round headlamp for the rectangular type it had when new.
I've seen a few used ones online but does anybody know:
1. Are the ones fitted to our off-roaders the same unit? (Could I also consider a Kanguro unit?)
2. Are they ...

I think I also have some packaging from old sets that may help with ref.numbers.

Hi there,
just a random question that springs to mind: have you checked they are the correct carbs for the bike?
I hope you don't have to go the whole wide world for a solution!

Re: Alternative paint schemes
Thanks Jenny,
that's the sort of thing I'm after. I may do some mock-ups with washable paints for a larf.
Funnily enough, almost none of the schemes I've seen seem to have a red frame but I do and that makes a difference.
Keep 'em coming!

Re: Clutch lever fulcrum
Thanks, both of you.
Mine actually already is the 26mm version but since regaining the bike there are some rerouting and lubrication things I need to do. It was not really maintained in my absence. Things like that will give me a chance to get to know it again.

Clutch lever fulcrum
Hi there,
I have a generic Domino clutch lever/perch fitted. I also have Tarozzi clip-on risers which means my cable routing is somewhat compromised by the instruments.
The action is "firm" but I'm used to it, however, I have just seen that two different fulcrum lengths are offered by Tomaselli ...
