It all makes sense now- I have the Tarozzi rear sets so hence no grease nipples. Once I get some rotation I will simply grease the shaft as it is supposed to be and put the rear sets back. Thanks for the help on this. I think I will have to make a tool that fits snugly on the end of the pivot in order not to damage it. Has anyone fitted grease nipples to the swinging arm?

Swinging arm removal
Is there a special too available to undo the swinging arm- I have a bit of lateral play but cannot move it with a 15mm open end spanner. Think I have found the answer! On stripping the bike down to clean it after this ride, I found the large breather tube had been completely pinched under the seat. I have now redirected it but have not tested yet

Oil coming out of breathers
After a 160 mile thrash up to Exmoor and back, I noticed evidence of oil expulsion from both breathers- I checked oil level and it was down the stick . Anyone got any suggestions ? Is this likely to be rings or valve guide seals?
