Low flippin' seat
Low flippin' seat
I love my granpasso. It is a brilliant bike. But. I am kinda on my tip toes at a stop and it makes me nervous. So has anyone got a low seat knocking around that they want to sell or have a success story about slightly lowering a GP. An inch would probably do it. It is doubly frustrating as I know the H83 has a lower seat but can I buggery find one. I've even emailed the factory. Any advice apart from wear high heels will be much appreciated.

You would probably be better off get a professional upholesrer who specialises in bike seats to remove some foam and recover it .
Re: Low flippin' seat
Looks like I have managed to get one from eBay Italy. At least I won't have to butcher mine.
Just been looking at exhaust options and see you have a GPR. I have the Aliminium boxes will they still work with the GPR. And is it just plug and play

Re: Low flippin' seat
Yes I had no fit issues with the Gpr and the MM Ali luggage . Yes it was plug and play ,no running problems or popping . I did however come to the conculsion I preferred the standard exhaust and sound . Just to note I had the ergal end caps on my GPR can ,that means they are made of aluminium with a carbon firbre dip type Finnish ,not real carbon fibre .they also started to corrode after a year .
Re: Low flippin' seat
Maybe not a good idea. I am happy with sound but there is an irritating tinny rattle as if something is loose.

Re: Low flippin' seat
The rattle could be a loose heat shield - mine developed this and then sheared on the ride out to sell it I also lost (and found) the shield on a 9 1/2 I had on loan; obviously a weak point!

Thanks, I will look into it.
Re: Low flippin' seat
Right, have got the low seat. It does make a difference but not that great. It is enough to make me feel secure so I am happy. Maybe not as comfortable but I will live with that. Still thinking about changing the end can so any advice will be welcome.
