Headlamp surround

I'm looking at buying a 1982 kanguro x, and I have a query about plastic headlamp surround.
Should this bike have a plastic surround or just plain headlamp brackets?
Thanks in advance for any information

Mine has a rectangular headlight cowl. I'm not aware of any other official option.

Yes, as Vitesse said, a plastic cowl is held on by rubber bands and the headlamp is on regular brackets which are hidden by the cowl when fitted.
