Swinging arm lubrication

Post by 3potjohn »

On my Sport I have a stainless spindle with grease nipples at each end. I have replaced the bushes some years ago.
On this Coguaro there are no such grease nipples. I prised off the very tight and easily damaged plastic chrome end caps and saw a stainless spindle. Is this a fit and forget type, (e.g non metallic bushes), does it run in bushes requiring lubrication or not? I avoided removing the spindle on this occasion. If it does require grease the only way I can see is to pull the spindle.Any idea on best technique if that is required?
The only grease nipple I can see after grovelling about under it is for the crossover shaft on the gear linkage.

Better than burning out Silentbloc bushes I suppose, but I avoided that back in the day. Still if it does need grease I want to apply it.

Ok they are non-metallic bushes.Don’t know exactly what type of synthetic material they used.
