The Rebuild Looms

Post by jb666 »

Well here we go - the Coguaro's crank is in being ground to upgrade to roller bearing instead of white metal and 2nd oversize big ends as well. I shall take pictures and post as things progress. Having rebuilt the Strada a number of years ago I have an idea of what is to come!! Any helpful hints willingly accepted!

The engineering firm rang today - job done ready for pick-up. The guy who did the grinding wants to discuss the job - don't know whether that is good or not!!

Photos to follow when I get the crank back.

That's interesting ?

There don't appear to be any 'knicks' on your con rods, to avoid the cams ? I thought on 500s all rods were 'relieved' a bit so they didn't touch the came. Do the 508cc "501" motos have slimmer rods then than "normal' 478 "500s" ?

Anyone know ?

Cheers
