Oil Capacity 501 Camel

I am sorry to ask this as I know there are loads of threads on this subject but I have not managed to find anything definitive.
1986 501 Camel how much oil to put in on an oil change?
I have looked through the various manuals and found both 2.5l and 3.0l and in one of the posts someone stated that 2.7l had been proven to be the ultimate amount.
I have put in 2.5l and as best as I can tell with clean oil on the dipstick it is pretty well at the top mark.

I use 2.5L in both my 350 and my 507.
