Speedo and tacho drives

On my recently acquired 500 Sei V the instruments (I think) should have their drive cables joining at an angle, rather then straight on to the back of the clocks. The clocks I have have the drive connection coming straight out. Should there be an angled drive gear box for each clock?
I can't find any in my boxes of bits!

My K1 has the later instruments with the 90 degree bends.

Thanks Micky, is there a separate gearbox or does the drive come out of the clock at 90 degrees?
I'm either missing some bits or I have the clocks from an earlier bike.
Looking at pics of other bikes on the net I notice that the speedo and rev counter seem to have swapped sides? I.e. the older bikes had the speedo on the right, so the cable came up that side from the wheel drive. On later ones the cable must cross from right to left?

Separate gearboxes. I bought one from Gutsi bits, but it was the last one... they may have more.

My '85 K2 had the speedometer on the right and (cable driven) tachometer on the left.

The angle drive was used on various Moto Guzzis as well and is available from Gutsibits.

Mine (assuming the clocks are the originals) make that impossible as the speedo trip reset exits on the left, rather than underneath. And there is no hole in the clock casing to allow for a left side reset knob. The last owner had been acquiring parts for the project so it's not 100% clear what was originally fitted.
I'm worried that I seem to be saying 'original' more than normal-if you see me please give me a slap.

I'll make it all work, standard or not.
