Fork seal orientation

Hi I have some nice new seals to fit to my forks but can't figure out which way up... Two seals per leg from MDina but all seals have a lip, so is it bottom one lip down top one lip up? Or both the same way? Thanks for any pointers or even Bad Manners jokes..

Both the same orientation, lip down towards the oil, nice and square then the circlip on top. Since fitting gaiters I never have seal issues.

So both like this, they are Ariete seals so in that case springs would be exposed viewed from above?

The other way round, sorry for being unclear. So the solid side with the text/ numbers up and spring side facing downwards.

Hi, your new fork seals are different to the originals, having an additional outer dust seal lip on the top/outside.
There might be a problem in fitting one above another?

Best to get two of the original type seals from a bearing factor to fit below the more modern fork seals
or you could leave the old lower seals in and fit the modern type on top

There are two seals in each leg as the original seals are more generic in design and mostly used for sealing rotating shafts.
Modern fork seals are designed for the application.
