Air box rubber hoses

Post by Steve Brown »

I'm on the search for a pair of rubber connector hoses for the standard 500 airbox. Has anyone ordered from Startgomma recently? I'd like to know how it went with regard to delivery charges and taxes etc.
I was also going to look at Mdina but their site is down because something exciting is happening  so has anyone had rubbers from them and are they of decent quality?
I'll post a wanted ad here too in case you have a pair spare.

You can try Dieter Hoffmann. His web page doesn´t work but you can e-mail him.
He should have them for 60€ / pair plus shipping.

Thanks Norbert, the Mdina website is back up and working now. They are showing the hoses in stock and the price is reasonable too so I have ordered them!

Was the news that they are moving?
There was something on there yesterday about them moving both business and house to new premises, and expect up to 10 days disruption to service.

Yes, that's right George-I only just saw the move mentioned! Oh well, 10 days won't hurt my order this time as I can still use the bike as it is for my next expedition to the Isle of Man.
Interestingly they are moving down South, I thought they were currently oop North so it's quite a move with all that Morini/Ducati and whatever else stock!

The question is will it be a shop? Has the company been bought, or is Ricambi Desmo a sister company? Same style website.

Well I must congratulate Mdina on a speedy service. I ordered those bits on Saturday and at the same time I learned they were moving house. The suggestion being that my order may be delayed but as I planned to do a couple of days work I was prepared to wait.
I got an email on Sunday saying the order had been processed, another on Monday to tell me the Royal Mail had it and they would deliver by Wednesday.
The order arrived on Tuesday while I was out! It's taking me longer to fit the stuff than the delivery did :?
