1982 350 switchgear

The lightswitch gave up the ghost tonight and the switch is just spinning and doing nothing, only the on off part is goosed,, the horn, indicators and flash still operating. nerve jangling ride home over unlit country roads.
Looks like a couple of wee ball bearings and a few tiny springs have popped out. Can these switches be refurbished or does anyone have a spare. Are they available from a stockist.?Appreciate any help cheers Peter

Hi,

The later, almost ergonomic switches aren't the best and prices have gone up stupidly - must be the 'standard on a Ducati' effect with restorations...
I have fitted 1990's Honda NSR125 switches to mine. Simple to fit and work so much better than the CEV ones.
I have them on both my Morini's and my Norton.

An example on ebay is here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313950332460 ... BMrsSEkOxg £30 is not bad.
Domino do a very similar switch new - For an example, look up Gutsibits item ELA01730 Universal Part, £88.00 https://www.gutsibits.co.uk/pr/TheShop/ ... q=ELA01730

Might give you some food for thought.,
George

Hi George, thanks for the reply, definitely give me something to think about. Meanwhile I'm hoping that joining the 2wires from the faulty lights on switch, will give me lights whilst I am sorting out a replacement part. Cheers Peter

If you want something more modern from a Morini look for the later Kanguro/Excalibur etc switches. The kill switch on the kokusan ignition bikes is back to front as it breaks for engine stop rather than make as on the Doocardy Elettrotechnica magneto bikes.

Thanks mick, the looks don't matter to me, would be good to get the cev206, but not at £138 lol.
Checking how it works to get a proxy to forward from Italy, there must be a way to get it done,
