Post by archimedes »

greetings from the states,

i have been looking for an early 3 1/2 kickstart unit like this one:
from Ebay in early Jan 2013.jpg

unfortunately missed the auction & am now pursuing a like wise
unit elsewhere. if anyone has a lead or would like to offer
a similar unit for sale --- i am very interested to purchase.

thanks,
scott

Hi Scott, I believe I have one of those, lacking some chrome but structurally OK. i'll brave the snow to rummage around in the garage...

Regards, Mark.

That's not an early kickstart, it looks like one from a K2 to me.
Early Strada kick starts have a rotating top rather than rotate at the bottom.

That knuckle is certainly the same as on my 1983K but I can't confirm the lever as mine's from a Honda (apparently).

Yes, whilst I cant check the dimensions its the same shape/pivot as the kickstart on my K2.
