I can't see me ever using this. I suppose the base might be the same as the early 2C so it could be recovered appropriately, but Leighton's did the one on my road 2C not long ago.

I could do without the hassle of packing and sending it anywhere, so free to anyone who can pick it up. If desperate for one I could get an estimate for carriage to be paid by the proud new owner.

It's the type designed to go with the plastic rear end

So looks like this (apologies to the Bantam Club owner).

Is that photo actually it? What state is it in? Wondering if I might be able to use it on one of my other projects.

No.

Not too bad at all. Came off a 1982 model from Spain. So a different shape to the 1979/80 250 I have.

I'll take photos of it.

Hmm, not as good as I remembered after 5 years in a shed.

I didn't bother before because I assumed it would not fit a 250T, but the fittings on the picture of the underside look similar. Any chance you could post the distances between them - side to side and front to back? TIA.

Yes - that seems right, so if noone else has claimed it I would like it. Obviously I can collect - let me know when would be convenient.

Sure. I'm around most of the time. Thursday morning excepted. There might be other bits that will fit a 250T that I will be throwing out otherwise. Do they use the same mudguards?

You know where I am - just let me know roughly when, so I'm not actually up in the loft or down in the sheds when you call.

I can come up later this morning / today if that's OK?

The 250T has stainless mudguards so I don't think they will be the same.

OK. See you later. There is a 2C tank that will also be going to the tip if you or anyone else doesn't want it. Been left without the cap on (missing) in a Spanish barn for years and since then my shed. Might still be a better starting point for someone than no tank at all.
