Engine casing plating

Post by Maaschies »

Gents and Morini gurus,
Can anyone inform me of the type of plating used on the engine casings and the base metal of the casings.

The second question is around the early 1975 Sport instrument cluster with the split instrument plate. I do not find this configuration in the IPC and I am trying to establish the correct attachment for the Sport plate in relation to the instrument mount plate and top tripple clamp/handle bar set-up.

Many thanks,

The only Morini engines that had any plating as far as I'm aware were the customs (Excaliburs or New Yorks). Some engines had areas of polishing on the outer casings and some had painted/coated main cases.
