When was the 3 1/2 first available for sale?
On this site it says it wasn't available in England until 1974,
but when did it go on sale in Italy?

Hello Canada,

The 3 1/2 was first displayed at the Milan Motorcycle show in November 1971 and were first ready for sale in early 1973.

Harglo, the importers, brought them into the UK in 1974.

No I didn't know this off the top of my head, I looked it up in the Mick Walker book

Corsaro Chris has just sent me this photo of the prototype 3 1/2

Is this Cesare Luzzi's ?
He showed me one in his workshop and tapped it and said prototipo with a big toothless grin

If you look at the picture some more you'll see two of Eng. Lambertinis' ISDT bikes behind the prototype.

These used the bottom end of the earlier single, but used the Heron head design of the V twins - possibly to prove and test the concept? A case of competition improving the breed! Walkers book has photos at page 57, if anyones interested...

Here is another photo of the 3 1/2 prototype, in what I believe to be Luzzi's shop.

Spot the 'square head' (pre-Heron head) Corsaro in the background.
