Strada Headlamp bracket straps

The clown that is me has snapped-I think by over tightening-the metal ‘straps’ that wrap around the rubbers. The complete brackets are new on Mdina at a pretty reasonable £70 odd quid (Morini part numbers 19.02.23/24), but I don’t need the bracket body just the fixings. Classic Ducati’s site has what looks interesting for £27 saying it fits certain early 35mm forks, I’m just unsure if the bolt holes are the right distance apart. Anyone know what else I might try sourcing or something knocking around in a garage somewhere? TIA

I'll have a look in the boxes in my shed as there may be some 350 ones. I need to see if as a 250 tool box for someone else and I ought to sell off a lot of stuff that won't fit the 2C or a 350 engine.

Ah, senior moment. I think the pair in this photo are 250 items with the articulated straps. My 2c/375 has some after market ones from a 350 I broke 'shimmed' to fit 250 forks. The just strap thing may be 350.
If they are no use to you, a 2C owner may be interested. I won't be building an original 2C any time soon.

They do look the thing, the item to the right is all I need (x2) but of course I’d have all in the picture for a fair price and thank you for taking the trouble :D

Not sure the clamps will work on a 350 as the 250 has smaller diameter fork legs.
I'll PM you with a price including postage.

In other news, the two t’left of picture (I’m from Yorkshire..) did fit perfectly thank you 🙏
How did I clean the corrosion off, I hear you cry? Well, the traditional method of soaking them in full fat cola for 48 hours; just a light rub upon resurfacing and they’re much cleaner. Imagine what it must do to our internal affairs 😳

God to hear they were compatible. The 250 ones seem to have different part numbers so I did wonder. Then it may be with my memory that they actually camre from a 350.

My go to method for getting rust off chrome is to use aluminium foil. Scrunch it up dip it in water and rub the rust. I don't know how it works but as long as the metal isn't too pitted the rust just disappears it also works to clean stainless steel.

Good to know and there’s a bit left so I’ll try that, can’t beat the old roller cola dip though for getting the thick crud off for starters

Rola cola was classified as a chemical warfare agent. It would eat it's way through steel plate.

These are really generic parts used on heaps of bikes - just widen your search terms.
