When I was about 15 we used to cycle along the Ridgeway then back from Avebury which afforded great speed coming down Redbarn Hill. My cycle speedo flew off in protest, so I walked back to try and retrieve it. Laying in the verge alongside the beaten up unit was, inexplicably ,the hind wing from a Swallowtail butterfly. What were the chances of that!
