Morini Museum

Post by Silverspur »

Hi,
I'm planning to ride down to the Italian Lakes next week so I thought I would visit some things Morini. But I cannot find online information about a Morini museum. Does anyone have any details or advice on places to visit?
Thanks

I am not sure if there is such a thing. You could always try a visit to the factory.

At least in the moment it is not possible to visit the factory, the won´t let you in
When I´ve been at this years meeting in Morano in june, Sören told me that he tried, but that there was no way to visit the factory!

Sadly no Morini, but the Guzzi museum in Mandello de Lario is really worth it. Only open Mon -Fri, and closed for typical Italian sized lunch breaks. Even the Mrs who isn't in to bikes liked it.

I believe there is a museum in the Austrian alps, too. Burnt down two years ago but has reopened.

Thanks guys. Explains why I couldn't find it.

I intend to visit the Guzzi museum as well, so thanks for the encouragement.

I'll try to find the Austrian one as I'll probably ride down through the Alps.

Good luck with this! It seems to be open for short periods on most Friday and Saturdays, but not all, and never in August. Or they may change their mind. I have several photos of me outside the gate!

Try this... https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_ ... _Alps.html

...and they have Kaiserschmarren in the restaurant. I'll come with you... :)

The Austrian museum is on the Timmelsjoch Pass and, as I intend to ride that pass, I shall look forward to visiting it.

And, Mickey, you are right: I arrive in Italy on Saturday 6th July and the Guzzi museum closes for the month of August on...the 5th August!

Happy days!

I agree the Guzzi museum is worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity.

I went to the Museum at the top of the Timmelsjoch. Quite a surprise! Much, much bigger than I expected and very interesting.
And, as has been expressed, the restaurant is very good too!

There is a Morini-museum, but funny enough it is in The Netherlands, not too far from Schiphol. Visits possible only after appointment...
