Too long inner wheel spacers.

Post by R1100purist »

This evening I was installing new front wheel bearings on my K2 and all was well until I drove the second (non-speedo side) home and realized I may have tapped it in too far as the bearings are now very tight and seem to bind.

My question is do I need to punch out that bearing, get a new one and not tap it in as far (ie the until outer race hits the shoulder) or should I file/sand the spacer to shorten its overall length?
