Virtualy every comercially available, including Mdina Italia, 124L075 cam belt I can find is a metric equivalent ie nominally 314.33mm.
That is with the exception of MEDWAY with a true 12.4 inches ie 314.96mm
cam belt sizing
Re: cam belt sizing
I usually get belts from RS. One bike has a B pulley and the other a C pulley. Sometimes on the latter a new belt “thrums” a bit for a while.
At any rate the quoted upper temperature limit is usually 100 oC . I have not verified the operating temperature of the belt or whether a belt on a bike not regularly ridden is more or less susceptible to failing. I have not detected visible wear or indication of a potential failure in any belt I have removed.

Re: cam belt sizing
i just had a belt snap on a camel,
it was a couple of years old , but only was used for 1000 km.
i should have known better.
the crank pinion is smaller than what is recomended by the manufacturers,
hence the need for regular replacement

Re: cam belt sizing
I have taken to replacing annually of late. Mind you undoing and retightening bolts and screws in 40 year old alloy is not risk free.
