As we age Sport handlebars take their toll on the creaking back. A lot of Sport owners have converted to Strada top yoke and bars. May be a few Sport ones around!!

Exactly! But the Tarozzi riser ones achieve the same goal without the faff.

It would be a shame to machine another Strada yoke to Sportify it. I have just such an example going spare here. I have a 500 project on the go and the same had been done to that. I'm wanting this bike to have Strada type bars and be my tourer type. As said above there is more demand for tourer type yokes as the biking population ages. Place a wanted ad here for what you want, or if you can't find one in the Southern hemisphere mine could be posted from up here I the UK. I'm happy to post it but expect the delivery charges could be a bit high?

Thanks John but I managed to get one a week or two back! Strada yokes are coming back in demand again so hang on to yours maybe. I would be willing to sell mine but not sure how the post would work out. It isn't heavy of course and would fit in a box about the size of a pair of shoes, with plenty of protective packing. I can check that cost in a day or two if you like? Then think up a price for my 'Sportified' Strada yoke. It's a good job, I only noticed when I looked underneath and polished well too.

Looking for info please. I am waiting for my new to me 75, double drum Sport to arrive so I cannot go into the shed to measure it.
Is the double drum, early Sport fork size 32 or 35 mm ? And is it Marzocchi or Paioli ?
I would like to find a Strada top clamp to fit it incase my back is not up to the Sport clipons. It does have rearsets, but Im planning ahead.
So would a Strada (non rubber bush bar mount) top clamp fit my bike ?

Mine has 35mm marzocchis.

If you can’t find a strada top yoke (or to keep that sport character a little) consider the tarozzi clip on bar risers, like the ones below:

Also keep in mind the bars are 22mm- wouldn’t want to change your bar setup and find your original controls didn’t fit

Plus one for Barleycorn engineering kit. It's fantastic quality hand made in Britain and used on a lot of bikes that do the classic races on the Isle of Man

Good to see this, I had forgotten about Barleycorn. Any issues with switchgear looms? I am not creaking yet but the road surfaces are and leaning forward is not ideal.

Switch gear wiring was not a problem. Ditto with throttle cables (however, mine are homemade and possibly longer than standard). A longer brake line was required (I sourced a very cheap braided line from AliExpress).
