Throttle twist repairs?

I was trying to fit my new handlebar grips and twisted the throttle too far forwards and snapped a small black fin. At first I hoped this wouldn't be a problem but it seems the throttle cable now can fall out. 😢😢😢 Has anyone else done this before? Is it a new twist grip job?

I have repaired one using an Allen bolt as the stop. Used a nut to lock it to the casing. Worked well.

Any chance you have any photos? Or could advise me on how to do that? Many thanks

Ditto for our 3 1/2's. We just drilled through from the front of the bike and put an M5 allen screw in from the outside and a nut on the inside. Washers maybe also. Positioned the hole so the part of the M5 screw that ends up inside the body is at the same level as the fin used to be :-)
A little shaping with a file for fine adjustment and you should be good to go.
It's not until the fin breaks off that we realise, from the twistgrip's point of view the fin is the 'stop' at the fully chosed end of it's travel.

Sorry, Ben, I forgot.

Photo attached.

As per G&T, but I put the bolt inside the throttle and the nut outside...

Glad it's fixed. Just check the throttle returns to the closed position on release and does not stick.
