Just fitted Metz ME-22's 3-25 and 3-50-18 to the Strada, it feels a bit slower turning
than it did and maybe a bit less feel but they have more grip much harder to get the
front to the point of locking now, using 33psi front and 36 psi rear, does that sound
about right? if anyone is using the same I would be interested what pressures you
are using? they were much easier to fit than the metric sized Avons. they dont have
a ribbed thread pattern being universal but they feel more stable than the Avons,
only about 60 miles so far but a 230 mile ride planed for Friday.

I've only run ME22s on the 250 where you want a narrow rear tyre to suit the rim (same as front), a 3.0 as I recall. They worked well, but I'm sure I never ran anything like that much pressure.

33/36 psi is certainly higher than the org recommendations for my size of tyre,
I think the book says 23/26 or close to that may try dropping it a bit, modern
tyres seem to run at higher pressures.

Forget what the book says, that was written in the 70's, todays tyres are completely different animals.
I am using Avon roadriders which I am very happy with, and using 29psi front and 36psi rear, as per Avons specification.
I would suggest you check with Metzlers, you might be a bit high but not that far out.

Ta for that will try Mez the tyres are very flexible compared to others I have fitted,
if it ever stops blowing a gale and raining I will get out on the road and experiment a bit.

Looked at the Mez site and best I can make out is F26 R30
will give it a go.

FWIW I've been running 27/34 in my Bridgestone BT45s with no ill effects.

I run Bridgestone BT45's on my 350 and a while back I contacted Bridgestone and asked their advice on tyre pressures, they told me 2.3bar in the front (which is about 33psi) and 2.5bar in the rear (about 36) which is what i'm using now but i have to admit the front has always felt a little unconnected...so i'm off outside now to reduce front pressure!! i'll report back once been on ride.

The Bridgestones do seem to need a lot of pressure. I think Martin Gelder runs 36 F/R.

Mind you, I'm running the Roadriders at a low 26/28 and they work for me!

I run my Roadriders at 28 front and 30 rear, but then I'm slightly heavier than Paul!

Over 200 miles to do on Fridays so at least the releasing agent if they have any will be
worn off definitely feeling better now.

I use BT45's on all my 3 bikes, I think I use 2 bar on the Morini but it doesn't seem to react if it's a bit low whereas the fat old beemer seems to need 2.3 front,2.5 rear or it feels grim especially at <50 mph. But then again I suppose it might.
i know when the pressure is too low because you feel the rim on potholes!

245 miles today on dry, wet, muddy, flooded, and greasy roads,
the new tyres behaved perfectly, water at times up to the silencers
and jolly farmer Giles had added a good covering of mud in places,
they out performed me by a good margin.

400 miles now pressures are 28/32 F/R very happy with them
would buy the same again, after 400 miles the little nibs are
still there but the chicken strips are getting close to the sides
of the tyres, not shown even the slightest inclination to let go
even in pouring rain.
