blue light and flasher

on my 1978 3-1/2 sport after fitting a new headlight with shell ( not a morini headlight) the blue light near the handle bars comes on, dim on main beam and brighter on high beam is that normal?. the horn button works its the oringinal horn! but not the flasher will not work. should that year of morini 3-1/2 have working flasher?

Blue light should only come on when the main beam is on - check the lamp is not earthing through a rout it should not be. If flashers are fitted they have to work. On a '78 bike you can simply take them of to get it through an MOT. Also do make sure your battery is fully charged as indicators have a large draw.

my 1978 sport has a flasher/horn rocker button on the handle bars for horn and headlight main beam flashing. should it have a relay in the wiring harness for head light flasher?
