Bodywork

Post by EVguru »

Well, I asked for it so I'd better post in it.

How many people have damaged body panels on their Dart?

I'm planning to put a set of Freccia C12 panels on my Dart in the short term, but I'm looking to create moulds for the originals in the long term.

Panels?

Post by mhsilverw »

Might be interested in some spares - is this off the original Morini ones or the C12? If you ever get that far....& dependant on costs I guess.

Do C12 panels fit on - aren't the mirrors on the bodywork rather than on stems like a PASO? :?: Or in fact any Freccia panels fit straight away - are these easier to source?

If I do get around to making moulds, it will be for the original panels.

The rear sections, tank cover, and windscreen panels from a Freccia C9 are the same as a Dart and the tank cover from a C10 or C12 can be modified to fit. Freccias are a little easier to find than Darts, but mostly only C10/12s. They were never that common in the UK because they were over the learner power limit.

To fit a complete set of C10 or C12 bodywork you need the matching headlamp/instrument subframe.
