How many teeth on a standard front sprocket?

My front sprocket has 14 teeth.
I'm wondering if it's non-standard, because I just went to fit a new 114-link chain and it's slightly too short...

14 tooth is standard on Morinis with 500 series chain.
Have you checked whether your rear sprocket is standard?

38 teeth acording to the parts microfiche, same as a 3 1/2.

Aha. The bike is a tad lower geared than I'd have expected. That explains it then...
