Rear chain runner - what's missing?

Post by clanger9 »

My Dart seems to be missing something where the lower chain run rubs on the frame:

What part do I need here? Presumably some sort of plastic block. I can't see anything obvious in the parts list...

There should indeed be a block there. See attached pics of mine and also extract from the parts book (item 20 part number 037091070 and 21 part number 60N107026).

If you were inclined you could fairly easily make one from a nylon block, and I’ve measured mine to help or alternatively they are the same part as fitted to Ducati Paso https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_inf ... _id=226863

Hmm, my parts book scan doesn't show that part (which explains why I couldn't find it!).
Is there a better scanned copy available anywhere?

I can’t remember if the dart parts manual is on the club members area (the dart owners manual and engine manual are) but if the parts manual isn’t there then I can scan a copy and upload it to the members area. Might take a couple of weeks for me to get round to it but I’ll do it when I can.

Thanks Tom, I will have a look when my membership details come through. Hopefully your scan is better than the one I have.

PS: is the other chain runner available anywhere (p/n 800034897)?

All sorted! There was a bit of damage to the frame bracket, so I made a custom block out of HDPE from Tom's drawing.
