Missing bracket for air filter housing

Post by chippit »

Does any one have a spare bracket that holds the back of the air filter housing?

Also as standard, with the original air box in place and original exhaust (NLM 'Y' piece in place of collector box) what should the main jets, needle positions etc. be on a 350 dart.

Regards Christine.

I think the advice at one time was to take the bracket off. The mounting boss on the side of the tank can leak given little provocation.

Induction and exhaust mods are on my website, but basically...

Remove the 'flower pot' and fit 115 main jets. Other than that I left the jetting alone with the needle on middle notch.

Thanks for that Paul,
Dart has MOT! Alex at NLM did a lovely job replacing the collector box with a 'Y' section
Just waiting for a new battery this week 115 main jets and choke 'O' rings,
While all the fairings are off what engine oil should I be running, I don't know what is in it, if you are reading this Mike can you remember?

Regards and thanks for the help

The book says Sint AGIP 2000, which is a 10W40 Semi synthetic and that's what I run in a Morini of any age.

Halfords often have a good deals on their own brand semi synthetic.

Hi,

I used Castrol. Can't remember the type, but maybe Power 1 as I have found the can in the garage. This is the Castrol recommendation for the Morini. 10W-50.

Glad the exhaust is fixed. Dell'Orto in Reading are usually next day with the spares for the carbs. They give a great service.

Look forward to hearing more. Did you replace the tyres and chain and sprockets?

Whilst you are out riding, I'll be inside wallpapering... :(

I still need to change the chain/sprockets and tyres but will get it running first.
Looking forward to my 1st go on a morini, at least you will probably be warmer doing the wall papering Mike.
