Shots of the front and back of the former Moto Morini factory in Bologna. I visited while staying overnight last summer. The building is now a smart supermarket, but there is nothing to mark that this was the site of a motorcycle factory that nearly took a world championship, which is sad. It is more obvious from the rear that it is a former industrial premises - compare the roofs with the pictures on the Dutch club site. Amazing that they ran the works racers up and down the roads outside with all the apartment blocks around. I missed out on a factory trip in the early 80s. Only 37 years late! Still got the same 3 1/2 though but I admit we visited by car (the shame).

It is sad. My local Waitrose is on the site of the old Sunbeam works and near Villiers (so NVT). There is at least a statue.

Supermarkets, the new 'factories', along with Amazon warehouses!
In Coventry, a part of the old Triumph car factory has a Sainsbury's on it.
Bring back manufacturing, get your hands dirty! ...but not Norton style if you wish to have a retirement!

The factory in 1981 during the MRC factory visit...
Last time we visited (in 2009) it was a Mitsubishi car service centre.

We were hoping to visit again in May this year, but...
