Forum update- possible downtime

Post by morini_tom »

Just a little forewarning- we are about to do some site maintenance so the forum may intermittently go down for a bit. Hopefully normal service will be resumed later on tonight

See you back here soon,

Okay, thanks for your patience and apologies for the downtime this evening. Looks like we are back up and running.

If you find any issues with the forum, missing posts etc please let me know.

Hi Tom, on logging in this morning, I only get the site index - no direct link to new posts. Is this to be expected?

Same here, but you can get to new posts via the 'Quick Links' menu.

Ah yes - sorted - though it seems quick links are slower than the previous 'tabs' along the index line.

Thanks for the feedback.

Regarding the links to new posts, on my iPhone at least if I rotate the phone landscape I get all the extra new post links, but I agree, glancing at it in portrait it’s missing these.

I’ll have a play about to see if there are some options to tweak that.

I was posting as a PC user (yes, I'm getting on a bit...).
