Transducer/Earth

Post by 125H »

When I rebuilt my 125H it was suggested I use a 323921 transducer to replace the original Ducati Electronica which was not working.
The new transducer has a yellow earth wire, should this be connected to the general ground, that is to say the earth bolt on the frame or should it be connected to the engine itself?

This may be a daft question but has the power and ignition circuits are separate wondered if it may make some difference.

Yes just connect to chassis earth as normal. Obviously this is only good so long as your engine, frame and battery/rectifier etc are also properly earthed. If the alternator stator has a white lead this is normally connected to the Bianco terminal on the transducer too. This is also an earth connection and a sort of belt and braces thing!
