Italian Day, Bridgnorth 1st September 2019

This event was great fun last year, and we had Morinis there throughout the day - in total over ten with even more Morini riders turning up...

It's not just Italian motorcycles and cars, it's also all about Italian food, so great for foodies as well. Another great reason to bring the partner, even if they're not in to all things transport related! (There's the cliff railway, the Heritage railway and the river to explore, as well as an interesting and old town centre with lots of stall holders in attendance over the Sunday, where the event is held).

It'd be great to see you there - we had Morini Riders from as far away as the Thames Valley, Aberystwyth, Exeter and Leicester last year, and it would be nice to catch up again from 10 am on the 1st September... If you need more information, see the details in ATG (when it hits your doormat) or post on here...

Good riding,

CC

This sounds really interesting, unfortunately we won't be leaving the IOM until later that same day so won't be able to drop in on our way down. Shame :(

Hi - if you're on the IoM, say hello to our Membership Secretary, and look out for at least one Milano...

Have a good time over there!

Breaking news;

If you've not seen one - a chance to catch a glimpse at the Italian Auto Day at Bridgnorth on Sunday 1st September. The Club will have a presence here from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm (we'll be there earlier for breakfast...) and we're promised - among other things - a Milano for the display. This is hot from the recent test on the IoM, so should still be tinged with that lovely Manx atmosphere...

Not just motorcycles, there will be cars, scooters and lots of Italian themed stores (and wine & food...)

See you there?

Thanks to everybody who came along last Sunday! It was great to have over ten bikes on the stand, to see the Milano, two Granpasso and some lovely 350s, including 'probably the best Morini in the world'...

We've been invited back again next year already, and it would be splendid to make sure that there are more air-cooled Morini than water-cooled Morini (at one stage there were twice as many modern bikes as old ones...). Even so, we showed what a friendly bunch we are, and our Founder would be pleased to know that all the bikes were ridden there (unlike the noisy scooterist with his burn-outs across the road...) by people who were just out enjoying themselves!

Thanks again.

Chris,

Thanks for organising it was a great day.
"probably the best 350 in the world", the brown K strada of course! I think everything else was mostly red or mostly black or a combination of both.

Now what we really want is an original blue K strada ...

On the way home we stayed overnight in Tewkesbury at the Bell Inn, where there was a Harley Owners Group meet, looked more like a SAGA holiday to me,
given the age of the riders, twenty or more Harleys all EVOS (yawn) , but guess which bikes they were most interested in.

Cheers
Mark
