ATG is late and so here is some information for this year's Moto Morini rally in the UK.
FAQ
Who can come? - Anyone with an interest in Moto Morini motorcycles
Do I need to book? - no, but if you can tell us it would help for numbers of catering
How much? - Free camping at the pub, free spectating at the circuit.
Where? - the Golf Arms, West Ashby in Lincolnshire. Just outside Horncastle on the Louth road. It's a long way away but it is very close to Cadwell Park which we love.
Wednesday 23rd July
Camping is available for free at the Golf Arms, West Ashby in Lincolnshire. We will be staying there for the whole of the rally and track day so no need for a really early start on thursday if you are doing the track day, the campsite is only about 5 miles from Cadwell Park.
Thursday 24th
MRC track day at Cadwell Park. Free entry to the circuit for spectators, £110 for Morinis, £120 for other bikes, half price for continental visitors. Still plenty of spaces and the best track day to do if you have never been on one before due to the small number of big fast race reps. More track time than you can use at the best motorcycle circuit in the UK surrounded by Morinis and other odd bikes, run by us with 26 years practice at having a relaxed day at the circuit. A photographer has been booked as usual. Followed by an evening in the pub "bar racing" as you relive the day over a beer with no need to ride home.
Friday 25th
A restfull day exploring the Lincolnshire countryside on a treasure hunt, with the evening spent in the Bar again.
Saturday 26th
AGM day. Have your say at the AGM as to the way that the club should be run and what you think we should be doing starting at 11am.THIS IS NOT A DRY AND BORING AGM MEETING ABOUT PROCEDURES AND POINTS OF ORDER. Following a break for lunch when you all get a chance to vote for your favorite bikes in our mini Morini show, there should be a few hours of silly games with motorbikes on the big field out the back where we are camping. The Grass is nice because for the rest of the year it is a golf driving range. The games will include the prestigeous slow riding competition and may or may not include limbo riding and motoball.
There is plenty of time to talk to other owners and ask questions of people if you have any technical queries about singles, twins or the new bikes.
There should also be a selection of club products, including some proper factory tee and polo shirts etc that you can try and buy on the spot!
In the evening there will be a BBQ, free for all attendees of the AGM, and the prizes of the show will be awarded at about 7pm to bikes that are there only. There may or may not be some live music somewhere in the pub later.
Sunday 27th
Pack up and go home

Further information will be available here no doubt, and club members ought to get a copy of ATG in the next week or so.

Just a followup message regarding the trackday and morini weekend last week...

For those of you who weren't there, YOU MISSED OUT! The weather was glorious all weekend, I didn't even have to test my extremely budget tent's claim that it wasn't waterproof!

The cadwell trackday was once again thoroughly enjoyable, I did just on 100 track miles and didn't go out in all the sessions I could have.

I was pleased with the Dart's performance, I think I've finally got there with the engine development (only taken me 5 years!) but clearly I need to do something with the front suspension for next year...

Was nice to meet some of you and to see some familiar faces again. Am looking forward to next year already.

Thanks must go in particular to David, John S & Jem for making everything run smoothly.
