Enduro Weekend

Post by devon wrinklie »

I'm looking to organise a trail weekend for the Camel & Kanguro riders around late September 2017.
We wold be based on the eastern side of Cumbria in a bunkhouse although B&B can be found nearby.
Anyone interested?
Les.

Hi Les,

How difficult would the trails be?

I'd be interested too. Not actually got my Camel finished yet but hope to have it done and shaken down well before then. As above, how adventurous are you planning to be? I'm not an expert off tarmac  more of a green lane tourist :)
All donations to the rest home for old Camels, Leicestershire.

Hi Les, I'd be interested in joining in the fun. It just depends on the dates and work.
Keep us posted as the plan for the trip forms.
Many thanks,
Ian

Before I confirm details i shall be visiting the location and checking out the potential routes.
The level of competence needed would be similar to riding a few gentle 'Green Lanes'.
Accommodation is a bunkhouse with campsite for tents, motorhomes and caravans.
Less than a mile away is a couple of B & Bs.
The thick end of September is the most likely time and i expect to post the details around April May time.
All is subject to the level of interest, say a minimum of 6 riders.

That sounds like a grand idea. What do you call a gathering of Camels? A herd? A train? A hump? Presumably it's a bounce of Kanguros.

Please keep us posted. I'd like to come.

If I can get the editorial Kanguro a) running, b) Mot'd, c) trustworthy (most important of the 3) then I will be up for this if the calendars and stars align, as long as I will be allowed with my 17" road tyre front wheel. It should make a nice item for ATG if nothing else.

Well, I'll come along and watch from (just) off the tarmac...

Good riding, and here's looking forward to fun in 2017 :!:
